Sakamoto Days confirms its second part for the end of the year

After a stellar debut in the winter season, the Sakamoto Days production committee has officially confirmed that the series will return with its second part (second cour) in October 2026. The news has been received with euphoria by fans of Yuto Suzuki’s manga.

TMS Entertainment has managed to capture the kinetic and comical essence of the manga, something that many considered a challenge due to Suzuki’s dynamic artistic style. During a special event held in Tokyo this weekend, a visual teaser was revealed that anticipates the arrival of new members of “The Order,” raising the stakes for the upcoming battles.

The series has managed to position itself as one of the most-watched titles on Netflix, the platform that owns the international distribution rights. Director Masaki Watanabe expressed his gratitude for the support: “The global response has given us the energy to take the action scenes to the next level in the second half.”
Technical details:

  • Publisher/Label: Shueisha (Weekly Shonen Jump).
  • Publication start date: November 21, 2020.

Sakamoto Days is proof that “modern Shonen Jump” has life beyond dark fantasy stories. Its mix of everyday humor and John Wick-style combat choreography is exactly what the genre needed.
