“Killed Again, Mr. Detective” reveals cast and April release date
The anime Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama (Killed Again, Mr. Detective) has released its first full trailer, confirming its release for April 2025. In addition, the main cast that will bring this peculiar detective duo to life has been revealed.

The series chronicles the misadventures of a detective who, ironically, tends to be the victim of the cases he investigates, constantly dying and being resurrected. Rikuya Yasuda has been selected to play the unfortunate protagonist, Sakuya Outsuki, while the talented Shion Wakayama (known for Lycoris Recoil) will voice Lilithea, his stoic and capable assistant.
The studio in charge promises a vibrant mix of dark humor and classic deduction. The interactions between Sakuya and Lilithea are at the heart of the work, and the choice of Wakayama suggests that the female character will have significant weight and charisma on screen. The series seeks to position itself as the mystery comedy of the spring season.
Technical details:
- Publisher: Kadokawa (MF Bunko J).
- Premiere: April 2025.
- Main voice actors: Rikuya Yasuda (Sakuya), Shion Wakayama (Lilithea).
- Synopsis: A detective with the unfortunate ability to be killed in every case must solve his own death with the help of his assistant.
The premise of a “detective who dies and comes back to life” is absurd enough to work in today’s anime. Having Shion Wakayama on board is a seal of quality; her dry sarcasm will fit Lilithea perfectly.
