FX Fighter Kurumi-chan to be adapted into an anime

The manga FX Senshi Kurumi-chan, known for its raw portrayal of trading and financial addiction, has officially confirmed its adaptation into an anime. Production will be handled by Studio Passione, with Yuki Ogawa directing, promising to maintain the dark and psychological tone of the original work.

The story follows Kurumi Fukuizumi, a young woman who enters the world of foreign exchange (FX) trading to recover her mother’s lost savings, only to fall into a spiral of risk and despair. The announcement has generated great anticipation to see how the tension of the stock charts will be translated to the screen. Kenta Ihara (known for Saga of Tanya the Evil) will be in charge of the series composition, ensuring an intense narrative.

Technical details:

  • Publisher: KADOKAWA (Comic Flapper).
  • Publication start date: 2021.
  • Studio: Passione.
  • Director: Yuki Ogawa.
    • Synopsis: Kurumi attempts to earn 20 million yen in the currency market, facing market volatility and her own mental health.
Choosing Passione (Mieruko-chan) seems like a wise move to capture the facial expressions of extreme distress that characterize the manga. It’s a risky but necessary gamble in a market saturated with fantasy.
