Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai: racy fantasy romance

Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai (That’s Why I Can’t Play H, est.) is a light fantasy anime with intense fanservice. The plot follows Ryosuke Kaga, a student who lost his powers in a pact, now living with Risara (goddess of death) and Lisara (warrior angel), two supernatural sisters. The romantic comedy of this title revolves around the provocative situations generated by these characters.

In the development of the synopsis, the production (AIC Build, 2012) opts for constant sexual jokes: accidental showers, risqué dialogue, while Ryosuke tries to fulfill wishes with his remaining power (“Fatarius Beat”). The animation style is not outstanding, but it stands out for its soft lighting in intimate scenes and striking character designs (high doses of visual eroticism). In parallel, there are brief fight sequences (angel vs. goddess), but the strong point is the comic tension and the love-demonic relationship.

Dakara received mixed reviews: although it did not have the furor of other ecchi, it has found its audience as an adult romantic comedy title. Crunchyroll has a Spanish listing confirming its broadcast (“crunchyroll.com/es/series/…/so-i-cant-play-h”). Fans of the genre recommend it for those looking for mischievous humor with a supernatural love triangle.
